Reading through the New Testament it is impossible to miss the statements about suffering as a normal part of the Christian life.  The Apostle Peter said, "Beloved, do not be suprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you." ( I Peter 4:12) And yet, somehow trials and difficulties seem to throw us out of gear and make us question our relationship with God.  This life is difficult because we live in a sin-soaked world where suffering is common to us on the journey of life.  C.S. Lewisreferred to our time living here by faith as "the shadowlands" because we are waiting for the homeland of heaven where we will have no trials or disappointments.

Come join us the next few weeks at 10:30 AM at Murphy Jr. High to find hope in Jesus.
