There can be no doubt that cultural Christianity is dying rapidly in America - and that is a good thing. Before going back to His Father’s side, Jesus told His followers to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20). While many churches claim to believe the bible is the inspired word of God, the goal of making disciples is no where to be found. How did Jesus train His first followers? He lived with them. He taught them in public and private settings. He served them, and served with them. HIs training of the first believers was far more than teaching - He shared life with them daily. Over the next few months we will be looking at Mark chapters 6-10 to see how Jesus trained them and consequently is training us also.
