JESUS IS THE
SOURCE OF LIFE.
"And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him"
– Hebrews 5:9
New to The Source?
We'd love to answer any questions you might have about our church, our community, and what we believe. Please let us know if we can serve you in any way.
We are a group of ordinary people who have found Jesus to be the source of life.
Hebrews 5:9 speaks of Jesus as “the source of eternal salvation” for all who turn to Him in obedience away from their sins. He is the only one who can save us, satisfy us, and bring us into the presence of God the Father. He does this by His grace alone, which means we cannot compel Him to love us more or less by our behavior. This is the heart of The Source Church, the message we bring to the people of Plainfield and the surrounding communities with the prayer and expectation that God will redeem many broken lives.

Here's the rest of our team...
Lead Pastor / Elder
Robert is a transplanted southerner who met and married his midwestern wife Monica in 1998. After serving 7 years as the Lead Pastor of Legacy Bible church in North Texas, he and his family moved to Illinois in the fall of 2008. As the lead pastor of The Source Church, he serves as the primary teaching pastor and visionary leader. A verse that has shaped Robert for many years is II Corinthians 11:9 which says, "But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
Pastor / Elder
Victor has been married to his wife Jaye for over 27 years and have been blessed with three beautiful girls - Naomi, Natalie and Nicole - who also love the Lord. They moved to Oswego in late 2010 and were quickly led to The Source Church, where the undiluted truth of God's love is taught. In 2016, after years or faithfully serving the church, Victor was ordained as one of the pastors/elders.
Pastor / Elder
Craig and his wife Pamela gave their life to the Lord on the same day in Jan 1990. They have 3 wonderful sons, Taylor, Nathan, and Dylan (who has Autism) and their 1 st grandchild, James. Craig has served the Lord in many capacities throughout his walk; from nursery to Youth Pastor. In 2004, he was ordained and served for 4 years as lead pastor of a local church before stepping down to focus on his family. Craig and Pamela have a testimony of God’s redemptive power in restoring their broken marriage. In Jan of 2014, they came to Source where God continued to heal their hearts. God used the Source church family to shower them with ”grace upon grace”, reflecting God’s covenantal, unconditional love. Craig and is a Life Group leader and worship leader. Craig's favorite scripture is Colossians 1:10 “so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God”

What We Believe
Jesus Christ is the Gospel.
The good news is revealed in his birth, life, death, resurrection, and ascension. Christ’s crucifixion is the heart of the gospel, his resurrection is the power of the gospel, and his ascension is the glory of the gospel.
Join Us For Worship
We gather for worship every Sunday morning.
As soon as you come through the front doors of The Source Church, you will be greeted by someone who is glad you are there. We are a casual “come as you are” congregation who you don’t need to dress up for.
Our service starts at 9:00 AM with a time of worship through song that we encourage everyone to participate in. We love to have little ones with us while we sing so that they can be a part of celebrating Jesus too. After singing, we take a short break to refuel on coffee, children are released to Sunday School classes, and parents can drop off their preschoolers and toddlers.
The Word, Communion, and Fellowship.
After the break, we listen to a message from our pastor taught from the Bible, and then we have a time of communion and prayer. We take time for communion every week to constantly be reminded of the finished work of Jesus on our behalf. This is a “believer’s table” - if you are not a Christian we ask that you not participate.
The Elementary and Jr. High classes rejoin their parents at this time for worship. We end the service with another song and a closing prayer. Parents pick up their preschoolers and toddlers at the end of service.
Every Sunday at 9:00am

One of the common human experiences after the fall is a sense of deep longing and desire. We know it from our first days when our desires lead to cry for comfort, food, or rest. Our desires communicate that in this world, apart from our Savior we live as incomplete people. But during the advent season we are given the chance to look at our longings and desires and celebrate that one has come, Jesus the Christ, to fulfill all of our needs. Whether you find yourself in a season where the hope you desire feels impossibly far away, or in one where you feel so close to achieving the contentment you desire, we invite you to join us this Christmas season as we fix our eyes on the one our hearts were created for.
Join a Life Group
Gospel centered community is critical to the life of a believer.
After worshiping together and hearing from God's word at our Sunday morning gathering, Life Groups present an opportunity for individuals, couples, and families to gather together, talk about what God is doing in their lives, encourage one another, support each other through life's ups and downs, and pray for each other. Life Groups meet every other week and are a great way to get involved.

We Love Kids!
We care for kids by equipping parents to live out and teach the Gospel to their kids.
We want children to experience God's love and grace during their time with the Source Kids. We believe in equipping parents and caretakers to be the main source of gospel teaching within the family while we cover basic principles of our faith in a way that is fun, practical, and age-appropriate for kids.
We provide a nursery for ages 6 weeks until walking and age-specific Bible classes for children (ages 2 through 6th grade) during the Source Church's Sunday morning worship service.
